Ladies on the Loose event is tomorrow from 10-3! The first 30 ladies to stop at Nelson Nursery will get a Swag Bag!  Bring it with you to each shop and receive a special gift.  Zimmerman Bowl is the host restaurant and they have a delicious meal special just for LOTL!  (Please note that we will not be giving out Swag Bags until 10am). We are open at 8am so come a little early and do your shopping ahead of time.  See you tomorrow!

LADIES ON THE LOOSE!

Don't miss this fun event Saturday in Zimmerman 10-3!  The first 30 ladies to shop at Nelson Nursery will receive a LOTL swag bag. (Not available until 10am) Carry it to each shop and get a special gift. Also happening is a Mother/Daughter look-a-like contest. Stop and shop at The Tattooed Lady to have your picture taken.  Shop owners judge and the winning duo will receive a basket full of gifts given by each shop!  When shopping don't forget to whisper the secret word "Romance" at the register to receive additional savings. EXTENDED HOURS!

We now have extended hours for the month of May:  M-F 9-8, Sat. 8-7, and Sunday 9-6, and we are BLOOMIN' BEAUTIFUL!!

COLD WEATHER ALERT!

If you have already purchased any tender annuals please continue to be aware of the cold weather, possible frost, and maybe a bit of snow.  This cold weather is likely to continue for about a week.  These annuals have been grown in a climate controlled greenhouse and can easily be damaged or destroyed in this type of weather.  Keep your plants at 55-60 degrees at all times and keep them out of the wind. We know how anxious everyone is to get out there and get growing, especially when we get a few nice days, but this Minnesota and we probably have at least a few more weeks of up and down temperatures.

PLANTING WORKSHOPS

SPACE STILL AVAILABLE FOR OUR PLANTING WORKSHOPS!  We have workshops this Saturday April 15th at 10am and 1pm.  Pre-registration and a $20 deposit required.  The deposit includes the patio pot or hanging basket container, the soil to fill it, and the care of your pot until it is grown and ready for pick up around mid-May.  You choose and purchase the plants you want to fill your pot.  Come and enjoy time with friends, the warmth of the greenhouse, and the smell of dirt!  For more information or to sign up call our office at 763-856-2441 or on-line @ www.nelsonnursery.com

OPEN TOMORROW!

WE ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN TOMORROW APRIL 12TH!...and we are ready! Come on in and see what we have for the 2017 season!  The Bare Root Barn will be open with a large selection of MN hardy trees, shrubs, evergreens and more! Garden Center hours are M-F 9-6, Sat. 9-5 & Sunday 10-4.  

PLANTING WORKSHOPS

OPENING!

OUR OFFICIAL OPENING DATE IS NEXT WEDNESDAY APRIL 12TH, but.... because it is going to be so "BEAUTIFUL" tomorrow we will be open from 10-4! Then we will see you again on April 12th. Garden Center hours will be M-F 9-6, Sat. 9-5, Sunday 10-4. Closed Easter Sunday.  Let the season begin!!

SOCIAL PAINTING CLASS - Thursday April 6th, 6-8pm.  Hosted by Nelson Nursery, Taught by The Tattooed Lady of Zimmerman. Cost is $45.  To sign up go to: thetattooedladymn.com/paint-with-the-lady.  Cost includes all painting supplies, refreshments and a good time!

Planting workshops

Our greenhouses are filling up and growing everyday!  We are so excited for our 2017 spring season!  How would you like to get your hands dirty and plant a hanging basket or patio tub designed by you?  Classes will be held April 15th at 10am and 1pm.  A $20 deposit and pre-registration is required to hold your spot.  The deposit includes your pot, dirt to fill it and our TLC until your creation is ready to be picked up just before Mother's Day.  Total price of your pot depends on how many plants you choose to fill it. LADIES ON THE LOOSE!

Tomorrow is the day!...Ladies on the Loose, Luck of the Irish!  10am-3pm in downtown Zimmerman.  Start your day at Ashley Taylor Salon.  The first 30 ladies receive a "Swag Bag" to fill with gifts from each participating shop. After a fun day of shopping gather at Papa's Italian for the drawing and most green dressed contest.  Our guest restaurant, Papa's Italian, will have lunch specials just for LOTL!  For more information go to Ladies on the Loose on facebook.  NELSON NURSERY'S GARDEN CENTER WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR THIS EVENT.  However, we will have gifts at the drawing!  ENJOY LADIES!

PLANT ARRIVAL!

Spring has sprung at Nelson Nursery!  OUR FIRST BABIES HAVE ARRIVED!...including this Hiemalis Begonia named "Valentine".   In no time we will have the greenhouses filled with beautiful blooms!  Can't wait!

LOTL "10 YEARS OF FUN!"

LADIES ON THE LOOSE is this Saturday Jan. 21st 10-3 in Zimmerman! IT'S A TROPICAL PARTY!  Be one of the first 30 ladies to shop Ashley Taylor Salon and receive a Swag Bag. Take your new bag with you to each of the other 6 participating shops and receive a special gift from each shop.  Don't forget to whisper the secret word "Tahiti" at each shop for additional savings.  Participating shops are: Ashley Taylor Salon, Sassy Bean Boutique, Ramshackled Treasures, Zimmerman Floral and Gifts, The Tattooed Lady, ZoChic Traveling Boutique, and the Vintage Junkey.  Nelson Nursery is not open for shopping in January but we will have special gifts in the Swag Bags and a door prize for the drawing!  The host restaurant is The Whistling Pickle. Specials for LOTL are: 2 pulled pork or chicken sliders with coleslaw and homemade chips for $5.00.
