CHRISTMAS SALE!

Final 2 days of our 30% off storewide sale!  Our Garden Center is open today until 6.  We will be open Thursday and Friday 9-6 and then the store will be closed until mid April.  We still have a great variety of beautiful gifts to choose from, and still have wreaths and other greenery for your decorating needs!  After Friday you can go to our office for gift cards or straw bales. Office hours are M-F 8-4:30. The office will be closed Dec. 26th and Jan.2nd in observance of the holidays. Just a note: we still have Santa pictures here to be picked up. SATURDAY EVENTS!

Pet pictures with Santa this Saturday from 11-3!  The cost is $15.00 per sitting.  Walk-ins welcome!  You can make an appointment by emailing wpotrament@yahoo.com.  Pet pictures with Santa is sponsored by the ZIMMERMAN CIVIC CLUB.

Sending a big "Thank You" to all that attended our Fall Festival last Saturday!  What a great turnout!  Thank you also for all the donations at our petting zoo!  We raised $788.00!  One half of the money will go to Zimmerman's Passing the Bread Food Shelf and one half is going to Neighbors Helping Neighbors here in Zimmerman. We hope that everyone everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did!

FALL FESTIVAL!

JOIN US THIS SATURDAY FOR OUR FALL FESTIVAL!  BOUNCY HOUSE, CORN PIT, TATTOOS, WACKY HAIR, SCARY MAZE, TODDLER MAZE, TREATS, AND A VISIT FROM THE FIRE TRUCK!  LOTS OF FAMILY FUN!!!....AND WE NOW HAVE TO ROAD TO GET TO US!! YIPPEEEEEEEEE!!!!

FALL FESTIVAL!

FUN FAMILY EVENT!  COME JOIN US AT OUR ANNUAL FALL FESTIVAL! It will be held on October 8th from 11-2. We will have a great petting zoo! (2.00 per person, 10.00 max per family.  All proceeds go to local charity!)  Free activities include: Scary maze, tattoos, wacky hair and corn pit.  Free snacks will also be served!  Plus a visit from Zimmerman/Livonia firetruck! Our theme this year is "All things Minnesotan" (Paul Bunyan, Vikings, Wild, etc.) We would love to see kids dressed up like this or a costume of there own! The festival will be held even if the road construction is not finished!  HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

WREATH MAKERS WANTED!

CANVAS PAINTING!

We are excited to announce that we are working on setting a date to host a canvas painting workshop at our Garden Center!  There are still details that need to be worked out, so we would like to hear your opionions.  Would you be interested in attending?, and what days or times would be the best for you?  Should be a great time painting amongst the flowers, with friends, in the greenhouse!  We will let you know all the details as soon as they are in place!

SATURDAY EVENTS!

There are two great events in Zimmerman tomorrow (Sat.4/16)!  The Zimmerman Chamber Business Expo is at the Zimmerman High School from 10-2.  Come and meet some of Zimmerman's great local businesses!  There will be give-aways and entertainment throughout the event!  Stop by our table to say "HI" and register to win a $25 gift card.  Nelson Nursery will also be presenting a slide show on ideas for container gardening at 12:35 in the entertainment area. - Ladies on the Loose "Luck of the Irish" in downtown Zimmerman is from 10-4. Participating shops are Ramshackled Treasures, Sassy Bean Boutique, Shoppes on Fremont, Zimmerman Floral..and..two new shops to the event.. Ashley Taylor Salon and The Tattooed Lady.  Wear green and have your picture taken at The Tattooed Lady for entry into the greenest contest.  Enjoy the Irish Progressive Snacks at each shop.  After visiting each shop, and getting your card stamped, gather at the host restaurant, Papa's Italian, by 4:15 for prize drawings. Papa's will be offering 20% off on all green salads to Ladies on the Loose participants throughout the event!  Oh, and don't forget to whisper the secret word...shhhh... PLANT ARRIVAL!

Our first Proven Winner truck has arrived! Let the planting begin! We are ready...the greenhouses are ready...and so we begin growing beautiful plants that will be ready for you when Spring and warm temps arrive!  Spring has Sprung at Nelson Nursery!

 

Planting workshops

We will be having our Planting Workshops on April 16th 10am & 1pm. A $20 deposit is required to hold your spot.  This deposit includes your hanging basket container or patio pot and the soil to fill it.  Your total cost will depend on the plants that you decide on to fill it. To find out more or to sign up call our office at 763-856-2441.  Call earlier to quarantee your spot!  Come and enjoy the warmth of the greenhouse and smell the dirt!
